Licensed Use of Joforce Trademarks
A. Limitations in using Logo
Joforce “Limited Use” Logos
The interested parties that want to support and help Joforce and its products & services to reach higher levels can use this powered by logo on their websites. This powered by logos may be used without the written consent from Joforce only that meets the following criteria:
- The powered by logo must be a hyperlink directs linking to https://www.joforce.com
- This limited license does not include the rights to promote your own products or services with Joforce “powered by” logo or any other Joforce trademarks. That is, never use any Joforce logos on any product packaging or documentation, or on diskette labels packaging or CR-ROM, books and on other publications. Any such usage must be granted by Joforce in a written statement.
- The use of the logo must not be harmful or cause any damage to the value of any Joforce trademarks, its brand, reputation or goodwill.
- The use of any Joforce “powered by” logo in this section1(A) must also act in accordance with the applicable provisions of this Trademarks policy, including Sections 2 and 3.
- To ensure this is the case, Joforce reserves the right to revoke your authorization at any time. Once your authorization is revoked by Joforce, you must immediately abandon using all Joforce powered by logos. If you don’t abandon using Joforce Limited Use logos, Joforce will take appropriate legal action necessary to protect its rights and interests. Contact Joforce to request any special permission to use Joforce trademarks.
- As a general rule, you should not make any modifications in designs, add or delete any words, or change colors of Joforce powered by logo while using. You can adjust the logos’ overall size and are accepted only if you made it proportional. You can check our brand assets guidelines, to know how to use our logos.
- USING ANY OF THE JOFORCE LIMITED USE LOGO IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AS THE SOFTWARE IS LICENSED AND PROVIDED TO YOU IN OPEN SOURCE LICENSE. THE USES PERMITTED UNDER SECTION1(A) ARE PROVIDED BY JOFORCE “AS IS”, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND DEFEND JOFORCE AND HOLD JOFORCE, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, HARMLESS OF AND FROM, ANY CLAIM, ACTION. SUIT, LOSS, COST, EXPENSE OR OTHER DAMAGES OR LIABILITY WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, REASONABLE ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND COSTS OF INVESTIGATION) ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF ANY JOFORCE “LIMITED USE” IN VIOLATION OF THIS TRADEMARK POLICY.
- You agree that you will not gain any rights in Joforce trademarks through your use of any Joforce “powered by” logo. By using any Joforce “powered by” logo you agree to the terms contained in this trademark use policy.
B. General rule
As a general rule, no one is allowed to use or authorize any of the Joforce trademarks in any manner without expressly authorized by Joforce in a written agreement or above in section1(A). Joforce has its right to cancel any such authorization at any time if the use does not strictly conform with requirements of this trademark policy and/or written approval from Joforce.
C. Joforce Logo usage
The logo must be a stand alone icon in accordance with this Trademark policy, it should not combine and use with any other third party logos and/or trademarks associated with it. You must never change or alter Joforce logo design, add or delete any words, or change any colors or proportions of it. The logo must be, as it is provided by joforce. However, you may adjust the size of the trademark notice symbol. Take a look at our assets guidelines for better understanding on how to use the logos. Any Joforce logo shall only be used in conjunction with the products and services of Joforce, except specifically agreed by Joforce in written or in section 1(A)above.
D. Proper Use of Joforce Trademark
Users who have gained a written license from Joforce through a license agreement to use Joforce trademark on product packaging must use the appropriate trademark symbol and the attribution statement in every use of the Joforce trademark as mentioned in section 3.
E. Trademark in Books, Presentation, in any Written Copies
Third parties may use Joforce trademarks but not any Joforce logo, in the title of its publications, like books or magazines, or in related presentation, provided that the use:
- is for referential only;
- does not use Joforce trademark as a trademark; and
- abide with this Trademark Policy
- Joforce trademarks must always be shown with the proper symbol and footnoted, on all publications and presentations that are displayed to the public(sales, tradeshows and so on). Since the Joforce trademarks are used in these cases only to describe the content of the publication or presentation, it is not used to promote your own products and services.
- You should never attempt to establish trademark or other proprietary rights by registering, or attempting to register, the titles as trademarks, service marks, corporate names or trade names. Moreover, your name or mark and logo should appear in a prominent location on the cover and title page of all publications and on all materials related to the presentations and should appear more prominent than the title constitute Joforce trademarks on all printed materials related to the publications or presentations
- Kindly note that this section 1(E) only permits Joforce trademarks for referential use (but not any Joforce logo use) and it also does not permit the use of any Joforce trademark as a trademark. Without the prior written consent of Joforce, no Joforce trademark may be used as a trademark to promote any publication, lecture or other presentations.
F. Partners and Resellers Logo usage
- Joforce has designed unique logos to use by its partners and resellers. These logos are not included in the ‘Conditional Use’ logos and can be used only by parties having a written and signed agreement with Joforce that allows them to do so and under the conditions mentioned in that agreement.
- As clearly defined in its written agreement with partners, Joforce grants its partners certain non-perpetual rights to use special variants of the Joforce Logo. Permission to use these special variants must be granted with the written consent from Joforce.

The scope of these rights depends upon the partnership level with Joforce and may be revoked at any time by Joforce.
G. Distribute with Modifications
- JoForce can be distributed with modifications in code and functionality. But, it requires the source code to be completely downloadable by the Users. And the download link should be in compliance with the AGPLv3 license.
- When distributed, the “© Powered by JoForce” should be displayed on every page of the application.
- You should not modify any of the files that contain Joforce trademarks that merely describe Joforce, as long as the uses do not imply that you are formally afflicted with Joforce
Unauthorized Use
A. General rule
- Unauthorized use of the Joforce trademarks that are confusingly similar may cause a breach of Joforce trademark and rights is strictly prohibited.
- No Joforce trademark can be used in a manner that implies an affiliation with or sponsorship by Joforce, without the clear written consent of Joforce.
B. Domain Names
No third party may register or attempt to register a domain name that includes “joforce” or any of the Joforce trademarks, or any marks that are confusingly similar to the Joforce trademarks.
C. Trademark Restrictions for Third Party
- Unless defined clearly by Joforce in writing, third parties generally may not use any Joforce trademarks as part of their company names, trademarks or logos. In other words, no person or entity may combine any Joforce trademark with any third party trademark without the express prior written consent of Joforce.
- No third party may name or rename a product or service of its own to include the word “Joforce” without the express written consent of Joforce. Furthermore, no third party may claim any right to register, or attempt to register, a trademark in any territory if the trademark in question includes “Joforce” or is in some other way similar to any Joforce trademark.
- In some cases that Joforce authorizes any of the above uses in writing, the Joforce trademark must be at least as large as the trademark or logo of that company.
D. No Damage to our Marks
The Joforce trademarks may not be used in a manner or with respect to products that decrease the value of the Joforce trademarks or otherwise impair or damage Joforce brand integrity, reputation or goodwill, including (without limitation) use in a manner that is unethical, offensive, disparaging, defamatory, illegal or in bad taste.

B. Accurate Usage
- When using a Joforce trademark, you must not alert the spellings, add hyphens or other punctuations, make one word as two, or use a possessive or plural form of the Joforce trademark.
- Don’t use the Joforce trademark as an acronym.
- Always use Joforce trademarks as proper adjectives and not use it as a verb or a noun or in the possessive or plural forms.
- Never use Joforce trademarks or potentially confusing variations as all part of your company, product or service names. If you wish to record the relationship of your products or services to Joforce products or services, please use an appropriate tagline like:
“DMC for Joforce” not use “JoforceDMC or DMC JoforceCRM”
C. Trademark Notice Symbols
Use the proper trademark notice symbols when using any Joforce trademarks. The Joforce trademark that has been registered must bear the ®️ symbol and other all Joforce’s pending trademarks must bear the ™ symbol. These symbols provide notice to third parties of Joforce, that the rights in its trademarks.
D. Correct Attribution Statement
All Joforce trademarks used by third parties must be attributed to Joforce with our standard trademark attributed statement. The statement must always be a complete sentence and must be placed in a visible place of the material referencing the Joforce trademarks, i.e., on the copyright page, or on the last page of the material, on the bottom of a web page, on a website’s trademark policy page, or on product packaging.
4. Points to Notice
A. Third Party Licence
Joforce products may include technology used under the license from third party licensors. You must not use any such third party trademark without express permission from the owner. This Trademark Policy is limited to Joforce trademarks only and does not apply to trademarks owned by third parties.
B. Misuse of Joforce Trademarks
If you see the use of trademarks that are similar to the Joforce Trademarks, notify us by sending an email immediately to <a href=”[email protected]”>[email protected]</a>. Likewise, if you become aware of any use of a Joforce Trademark that violates any of the rules described above, including failure to identify Joforce Trademarks as belonging to Joforce, please contact Joforce. If possible, please get a copy of the article or other medium where the trademark violation occurred.
C. Renovation of the Guidelines
Joforce may add, change, update or modify these guidelines or the Joforce Trademarks by posting such addition, change, update or modification on this website. Any such change will be effective instantly after posting on the website.
